The AKL is a belgium produced special series of the 2cv AK. It was built to fit in with the belgian legislation. It is a more luxurious version of the AK, with addition trim and a rear bench.
Found it. Notice the two tone body work. This is not the original colour, the original colour was dark grey on white, as seen on the example at the top of this page. Special belgian indicators on the rear sides of the body. More difficult to see, the extraordinary length of the side screens, the trim strip above the side screens and the special door knobs.
A special splash screen made from soft plastic sheet, fitted to the inside of the original steel wing. Inside the footwell for the rear passengers, together with the plate to cover it.
Detail photo of the footwell and cover. On the firewall there is additional green insulation. The windscreen rubber has the aluminium trim as found on the AZAM.
The engine is the 602cc 22 hp unit used in the Ami 6 up to 1964. Not much but a lot better then the 18 hp 435cc engine fitted to the AZU of the same time! On the firewall the twin color tags, AC144 and AC133.
