Original Black 2cv

This is one of the few original dutch black 2cvs. Only a few hundred black 2cvs were officially sold in the Netherlands and this is one of them. I used this car daily for a few months in the summer of 2000. After that a friend of us was going to rebuilt this black beauty. However, in the end he didn't have time so we bought it from him. The big problem with the car was the chassis, this had been repaired a few times and was really bad. A replacement original chassis was found for this.
The floors were a bit rusty at the front so the whole floors were removed. The new left floor has been welded in, the right one still has to be done. The bottom of the footwell is rusty as well, so a whole new footwell has been bought. After that the only places that need attention are front windscreen surround and bottom of the C pillars. For long it wasn't clear hat was going to happen with this car. Then someone in our family told us they wanted to drive 2cv and wanted a almost new 2cv to do it in. First is was going to be charleston, then it was was decided to convert it to RHD as well. The bulkhead and front axle tube come from the UK but apparantly we're still missing some parts to complete the car. Progress has speeded up considerably now.
